Girl on the Train

Finished my first book in a very very very long time. I have owned this book for over one year, and I knew the movie was coming out to rent on the 17th so I figured you know what Jess? Read the book, and then watch the movie. The movie trailer looked awesome, and the book has GREAT reviews so I was off to finish reading my first book in years. I mean I have started books all the time just never could finish, but with this book it was different.

Yes, It took me a little bit to get into it the plot and connect with the characters, and build my perception of them. After that I couldn’t put the book down. I mean that…. I stayed up until 1:30am on a Tuesday not being able to stop reading…. I needed to know what was going to happen, and I finally had the mystery figured out in my head just needed to confirmation.

Finished the book–Yes my guess was correct, and I didn’t want it to end. I almost didn’t want to be correct I wanted to story to go on. But for my own healthy and rest the book was finished. I finally find myself back in the world of reading. This book helped me earn my love for reading a book back, and away from the internet/phone/TV.

I highly recommend reading this book even gifting it! The movie on the other hand give the book NO justice what so ever. There is just something about the suspense of reading a great book. The directors did a good job of matching a lot of the details from the book, but it just is not going to give you the same feelings that each character was feeling, and how they perceived one another. That is my most favorite part about the book– You get to read and learn about the other characters though each other’s eyes. Helps you develop your own perspective, and love/hate relationships for them as well. It’s a great way to get lost with your thoughts/judgements etc.

Now onto the next book- The Couple Next Door – I will let you know how this one plays out! 🙂
